Catherine has nearly 25 years’ experience in the health service and health policy environment where she has consistently focused on communicating complex ideas and forming and delivering policy outcomes.  

Catherine began her career in merchant banking before becoming an political adviser in the federal industry portfolio.  Since then, she has worked in senior executive roles in the health industry, including nearly ten years in the pharmaceutical industry in Australia, the United Kingdom and Europe. During this time, she worked on research & development; health policy & networks; medicines & reimbursement systems; and education as well as corporate issues, such as tax, investment and workplace relations.

Returning to Australia, she led the government affairs, policy, regulatory and media functions at Medibank as General Manager, Government and Public Affairs. 

Catherine is Principal and co-founder of Evaluate, an economics consultancy specialising in social policy, including healthcare, ageing, social justice and education.

Catherine is currently a board member of Marriott Support Services and a past board member of Melbourne City Mission and Victorian Legal Aid.  She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
