Humaira is an experienced campaigner with deep links into progressive Labor politics gained though positions including the General Secretary of NSW Young Labor, Campaign Field Director at NSW Labor, and Women’s Officer of the Nation Union of Students.

For more than five years she has been creating and managing campaigns to promote women’s rights, secure income support during the pandemic, and prevent racism. She has worked with different universities across Australia to formulate sensitive and effective polices around the prevention and handling of sexual harassment on campuses.

Humaira has organised local town halls, managed direct voter contact, led media engagement, run events, and managed reporting and accountability processes.
