With a background in government, politics and management consulting, Billy is a skilled advisor who is adept at integrating government, stakeholder and public communications for strategic outcomes.

He works across a range of sectors including financial services, social policy, and government agencies.

Billy joined H/Advisors APA from Deloitte where he worked as a Deputy Chief of Staff on the firm’s COVID-19 Taskforce which was responsible for navigating the firm through the COVID-19 pandemic. Billy’s role included drafting the firm-wide narrative, writing executive communications and assisting with the development and execution of the firm’s refreshed client strategy.

Billy also worked as a senior consultant in Deloitte’s media and communications team, managing the proactive and reactive media strategies for various industry sectors including the Technology, Media & Telecommunications, Public Sector and Healthcare.

His background in government commenced as a media advisor for the Department of Finance, Services & Innovation which included a range of agencies including NSW Fair Trading, SafeWork NSW, Revenue NSW and the State Insurance Regulatory Authority.

He later became an advisor to the NSW Minister for Innovation & Better Regulation, where he worked on various high-profile legislative reforms including strengthening regulation around building and construction; improving the protections for retirement village residents; and amending the Residential Tenancies Act to bolster rental protections for domestic violence victims.

He has also managed media campaigns for multiple large-scale compliance operations within the real estate, consumer goods and construction industries.
