In the most remote areas of Australia, a football legend is using sport to connect Aboriginal boys and girls to health, wellbeing, education and community.

John Moriarty was the first Indigenous player to be selected for an Australian football (soccer) team – and he and co-founder Ros Moriarty, have turned his trailblazing into renowned football and early childhood programs operated by The Moriarty Foundation, Indi Kindi and John Moriarty Football.

Indi Kindi is an early education and health program for Aboriginal children, specifically targeting children under 5 years of age in remote Australian communities. Indi Kindi integrates health, wellbeing, education and development to give children the best start in life and improve the global readiness of Aboriginal children entering school.

This Program operates in two very remote locations across the Northern Territory, Borroloola and Robinson River, and has been operating for 8 years. It is embedded within the community and consistently achieves attendance rates of close to 80%.

H/Advisors APA has been engaged to work with The Moriarty Foundation to help secure longer-term Federal Government support.  One of the key pieces of evidence will be around the impact of Indi Kindi.
