The impact of technology, loneliness, the search for purpose and meaning, and finding work/life balance are all bandied about as the challenges of modern workplaces – but what can be done to drive reform?

This is the very question that confronted Converge International after more than 60 years of working in Australian workplaces to assist with mental health, culture and workplace relations.

Having just established a research arm to extract the learnings from experiences with more than 250,000 clients, H/Advisors APA was engaged to drive a public debate about work and workplaces, to profile the gold standard, to assist those seeking ideas to improve, and to ultimately change the path of work into the future.

Part of the brief was to further build Dr Lindsay McMillan’s profile as a national and international thought leader on the modern workplace.

The campaign a future that works was born and over the course of 4 years, the campaign generated 10 comprehensive and ground-breaking research reports, attracted thousands of high-profile articles in the media, gained strong engagement across social media, and onboarded dozens of corporate supporters and members.

The campaign was concluded after compelling evidence that workplaces were engaging and reporting happier, healthier, more productive and more committed workforces.
