ComfortDelgro Corporation is the second largest listed land transport company in the world – and 15 years ago wanted to enter and expand into the Australian marketplace.

As CDC acquired local bus companies in NSW and Victoria, followed by Swan Taxis in Perth and the National Patient Transport network in Victoria; H/Advisors APA supplemented the business strategy with an integrated government, communications and issues management campaign.

We assisted through changes to CEOs, structural adjustments, acquisitions, new depots, and wage negotiations with drivers. And, we assisted with government relations around renegotiation for region contracts and tendering for new regions.

On the profiling side, we helped activate a proactive public relations campaign and offered issues management around accidents, driver/passenger behaviour and COVID-19.

Within 20 years of entering Australia, CDC is now the largest privately-owned bus network in the country with feelers into taxis and non-emergency patient transport. The company employs nearly 4,000 Australians and has an operating fleet of around 4,500 vehicles. It has set the benchmark for innovation and the use of technology for improved customer and driver experiences.
