Based in Canberra, Bruce is a former senior executive with over 25 years experience in the Australian Public Service working across resources, energy, climate, manufacturing trade and science issues.

He began his career in public policy as an energy economist for the Australian Bureau of Agriculture and Resource Economics, before joining several leading industry associations to work in climate and business tax policy.

Returning to the public sector in 2005, Bruce worked in the Resources and Energy as well as Industry and Science and the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet where he lead teams working on the 2012 Energy White Paper, the Mining and Petroleum Tax reforms, the 2017 National Resources Statement, the siting of a new National Radioactive Waste Facility, the National Critical Minerals Strategy and the Australian Domestic Gas Security Mechanism.
