With some high-profile safety and regulatory failures across the construction industry, many in the community unfairly blame accredited certifiers. Why? Because there is a fundamental misunderstanding of their role in the building process.

The Association of Accredited Certifiers representing more than 1,000 members in private practice and working in local government across NSW, engaged H/Advisors APA for assistance in clarifying the public perception of their role and in driving significant reform to the building industry to close perceived policy gaps.

Central to this effort has been highlighting the systemic issues inside the construction industry that need urgent reform from government, including ensuring that all building practitioners are accountable for the work they carry out.
