Commitment to end modern slavery

Australian Public Affairs is thrilled to announce our partnership with International Justice Mission Australia, as they fight to end modern slavery at home and across our region.

By uniting in a formal partnership, APA will leverage its specialised expertise and resources to drive awareness surrounding modern slavery and help to secure concrete regulatory and legislative actions to address this scourge.

“Ending modern slavery is a cause that every single member of the APA team is passionate about – and this partnership is about putting our skin in the game to help IJM Australia end this horrific practice,” APA CEO Tracey Cain said.

“IJM Australia is on the frontline every day fighting for justice for people in poverty. It is APA’s great privilege to be partnered with them.”

IJM Australia CEO Steve Baird said that the organisation looked forward to a productive and fruitful partnership with Australia’s oldest independently owned strategic communications firm.

“I know APA has the experience and expertise to complement the work of the IJM team and we look forward to this partnership bringing tangible outcomes that protect people in our region and the world,” Mr Baird said.

“As we continue our partnership, we hope that more Australians will see the insidious and unseen links modern slavery has in our society and be inspired to be part of the solution,” Mr Baird said.

IJM is the world’s largest anti-slavery organisation that aims to rescue those in slavery and protect the poor from violence across the globe.
