A major new $350m private hospital and health precinct is earmarked for Racecourse Road in Gosford – and could be up and running in a few short years.

With an increasing population on the central coast, demand is growing for medical facilities and Northside Group (a subsidiary of Ramsay Health Care) has partnered with AA Crown Holdings to conceive a solution.

The proposal is for 14 state-of-the-art operating theatres, 224 inpatient beds, an intensive care unit, radiology, pathology, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, a geriatric unit and a mental health unit.

The planning pathway is via a State Significant Development Application (SSDA) through the NSW Government, with H/Advisors APA engaged to provide communications and community engagement.

The SSDA was lodged in 2019 and approved by the NSW Government in 2021.
